Years ago, during a Toastmasters meeting, I heard someone boldly claim that freedom is free. This statement stuck with me, and over the years, I've realized just how misguided it is. Many people live under the illusion that freedom is a given, never questioning the unseen struggles that secure it. Today, I'll clear up this misconception and shed light on the true price of the freedom you enjoy.
Show Notes:
[03:47] #1 The trade-off of freedom is safety and security.
[15:10] #2 Whatever freedom you do have that you did not directly pay for, understand that it is being paid for, just not by you.
[23:23] #3 If you want to have more freedom, more autonomy, and more leverage to move about the world any way that you wish, understand you must give up some of your safety and security in order to get it.
