You Don't Want Every Pretty Girl. And You Don't Want Every Customer

And by that I am not talking about narrowing down to a niche market. That may be fine and good but this is another topic.
Any man over 30 who has spent significant time being single knows that there are many beautiful women in the world, who, despite their gorgeous aesthetic presentation, are not worth the headache that comes with the physical package.

In what ways? Uhh... too many for me to write about since the main point of this post is business and not social life. But if this is news to you, keep right on living life and you will come to understand. Maybe I'll tackle this topic in the future. Maybe not. But my point, again, has to do with business. Just as some women, though beautiful, are not worth the headache --
Some customers are not worth the money they're spending.
You know (or will very soon come to know) the type. They ask question after question after question. They nitpick about every aspect of your product offering. They need 10 reassurances before pulling the trigger. Post-sale, there are the multiple customer service emails/calls with more problems and questions they have. The aggravation and time and energy spent on this one person is not even worth the net cash you bring home form selling to them.

Sales is everything in business, I know. But sometimes you are better off letting one time-sucking leech walk on by, keeping their money in their pocket, and you focusing your energy on bettering your products, services and systems for the normal, rational customers. You know, the ones who don;t feel they own you just because they bought something you made. You want to make money, but you want to be efficient and maintain your sanity in doing so.
