I watched Paul Pierce of the Washington Wizards make some big shots for his team in a Playoff game then announce to the crowd, "That’s why I'm here."

Paul feels his main reason for being part of the team is not to be the #1 option or to score all the points or to dominate the ball or team headlines.  Paul's main reason for being there is to make big shots in crunch time when his team needs them. He knows it and everyone else knows it. Then he goes out there and does it.
