Nike is selling these LeBron James-logo’d shirts with More Than An Athletewritten across the front.

I hate these shirts.

Not because it’s LeBron — I’m a fan of him — or Nike; I’m a consumer.

I don’t like that our most recognizable basketball player feels the need to announce that there’s more to him than sports — and is encouraging other athletes to make the same declaration on a t-shirt.

Aren’t we far past this?
