I'm writing this 2 weeks before the 2016 Presidential election. You're reading it the day after we've chosen a President.
It doesn't matter who won last night/this morning; you still have to go to work.
I've talked about this on Snapchat every day after each 2016 Presidential Debate. Unless you work as a politician, The President of the United States will not change your life. [shareable cite="@DreAllDay "]The President of the United States will not change your life. [/shareable]
People get so worked up over the debating the candidates (95%) and the issues facing America (5%), gaining nothing for their efforts.
Today, your favorite candidate is either the winner or loser. Does either outcome generate more business for you today?
If you die tomorrow, will your winning candidate pay for the funeral?
Will the losing candidate (they're both fairly rich) pay your bills next month?
You're on your own, no matter who wins.
The government is not designed to save you. It's structured to keep the poorest of the poor - those who wouldn't be reading this - from dying of starvation. You, doing better-than-desolate individual with your smartphone + tablet + laptop combination, are on your own. You're a lot more on-your-own than you think.
No matter who won last night, you still need to generate new business today. There are customers to satisfy, clients to serve, services to be rendered. Neither Presidential candidate is showing up to lend a hand.
Only you can save you. [shareable cite="@DreAllDay "]Only you can save you. [/shareable]
