Months ago, I wrote about how the management of my building warned bicycle owners to get a decal for their bikes or risk having them removed. The warning sheets were all over the floor in the bicycle room for months. My prediction was that nothing would actually happen. People spend hundreds and even thousands on their bicycles; you’re gonna just remove them and throw them away? I imagined the anger of people whose bikes would be removed. No way would they actually do it.

Well, they did it.

I came into the bicycle room one morning to see only 40% of the bikes that had been there two days earlier. All the bikes that had had the you’ll be removed sheets were gone.

I never thought I’d see the day.
