I've bet on myself so many times, with such high stakes, I'd be forced into Gambler's Anonymous... if I'd been losing.
After working on your game, having the COURAGE to put your balls on the table (figuratively speaking ?) and work like hell to come out on top is the most important trait for reaching higher and higher levels of success -- fast enough for you to enjoy it.
I'm far from completing this journey, but I can see the winning formula clearly from where I am today. I'm not afraid to bet on myself... actually, I'm looking for ways to do it more.
I realized not long ago that slow and steady does win the race... unless there's a time clock you're racing against. In life, we're all on a clock that we can't even see.
You have to decide if that time crunch represents pressure, or an opportunity.
