Have you ever heard a person win an award or be interviewed about their accomplishments? Sometimes in those speeches or Q&As I hear people say, I never expected any of this to happen. It was all so unexpected! 
I don't believe a word of it.
Success is always the result of a plan or idea or thought or even a wish. If you don't have an idea or plan to be successful, a betting man would be smart to wager against you getting it.
Am I saying that people always must predict every success they get, down to the exact dollar? No. But there is always a vision. Always a plan.
Success means the pursuit of goals. By definition, it is impossible to do that by accident.
