I was thinking one morning about what I’d write for this email. I needed to write something, but I didn’t have any ideas on deck. I didn’t want to force an idea; those don’t come out well in my experience.

Then, while I was shaving, I inadvertently knocked my left AirPod out of my ear.

It hit the porcelain edge of the sink. Then it hit the side of the counter next to the sink. Bounced off of it, actually. Then, it swan-dived perfectly into the toilet. And it started to sink towards the hole at the lower rear of the toilet — you know, the hole that sucks up everything we flush.

I didn’t have time to think. I reached in there and grabbed it within two seconds.

Well, there’s a story, right on time.
