Just a couple days ago, I told you how the talented-yet-mediocre Washington Wizards defeated the talented-and-good Los Angeles Lakers in a focused, spirited performance that left observers wondering, why don’t the Wizards play like that every game?
In that same post, I also predicted that the mediocre Wizards would do what mediocre performers (teams and individuals) do after great performances: suck in their next performance, against a much worse (and presumably more beatable) opponent.
And that's exactly what the Wizards did: the lost to lowly Atlanta Hawks, who are leaning much more towards rebuilding than contending in this NBA season.
