I Know A Lot Of Hard Workers Who Didn't Get Far...

Growing up, every responsible adult around me preached hard work.

Actually, they did more than talk about it — they practiced what they preached. Wake up early, work hard, and sacrifice, all in the name of hard work.

There were lots of sacrifices, probably more than I even knew about. But there were some that I could see.

Here are just a few things that, as a child, I saw adults — teachers, neighbors, family members — sacrificing in the name of “hard work:”

-Vacations

-Having work that you actually like

-Feeling personally fulfilled by your chosen work

-Enjoying the company of the people you work with

-Freedom (financial, time, energy, ideas, spiritual)

Well, what was the point of all the hard work?

I thought those things in the above list where WHY people worked. But, it appeared to me, people were trading away everything they were supposed to GET, in exchange for more hard work.

Why?

It didn’t make sense to me.

Unfortunately, I didn’t know any better; I could only do what I’d seen. So I started my adult life doing the same thing I’d seen: working hard as hell, and not having much to show for it.

Luckily for me, I’d always believed that there had to be a better alternative out there somewhere. It took me a lot of time and effort, but I eventually found it.

What I discovered: It’s not about what kind of work one chooses to do. It’s not about how much money you’re making, either — those are both byproducts of what I discovered. In other words, they come AFTER — not before.

It all starts from the inside-out.

And the first step is clearing out a bunch of bad, unproductive ideas that we’ve been taught to believe.

This Thursday, I’m doing a live web class sharing what I’ve learned and how you can use it — to clear out the bad, and then replace it with what actually works.
