That's the thought I had today (not actually today, when you're reading) when I put my hands on the pull-up bar in the gym.
I hate these.
Hate them because I knew I'd be pushing myself further than my previous set, and there was no going back once I set the new standard.
Pushing yourself to a new standard is never comfortable. If it is, reexamine if it truly is a new standard. The challenge, after that push, is to keep pushing to new levels every day, every workout, every business deal.
It will be painful. Annoying. You'll hate it and yourself some days. It won't always be successful -- very important I mention that. You could so easily just do the same as you did last time. Well, if you're OK staying at that level for the rest of your life, by all means, stay there.
