If you are like many of my blog readers, you are seeking opportunity in some form. You want to start a career. Or get a job. You want to be recognized for your abilities. The purpose of this post is to tell you how you will begin to make this happen for yourself. And you'll do it in 3 simple steps.

The best indicator of future performance is past performance. So you need to be giving your best effort in the role you have now. If your current role is going to school, your grades are all an employer has to judge you by. If you want to play college sports, your high school performance will play a role in how the college coach views you. All of this means: don't ever think you're too good for where you are. That attitude can hurt your future chances.

If a job is what you're after, going to university is not a sufficient track record. Fortunately for you, you can do other things while in school. Such as, internships, part time (or full time) work, or starting your own business. In other words, beef up your resume while you're learning.
Put yourself on. There is no gatekeeper stopping you from getting started in most fields. Writing, music, making videos, and sales are all wide open lanes. You can start now, at low to no cost, and build a name for yourself. Lastly, you can get started without anyone's OK.


Here's the bottom line: the world you live in is bubbling with opportunity. If you don't have your opportunity, you just haven't created it yet.
