By doing the opposite of what your emotions are telling you: something bold and audacious.
When things aren't going your way, your natural response would be to close ranks and regroup, give yourself time to recover and build your strength back up. Your emotions are pressing the "flight" button in your fight-or-flight response system. We're vulnerable right now, why expose ourselves even further by being bold?
Except that retreating into your shell rarely makes things better. It merely delays what you'll have to do anyway.
Bold energy moves things and people out of your way. More importantly, energy creates more energy. And energy is 85% of getting anything done. Lowering your energy and waiting on things to turn your way might work... Depending on how long you're willing to wait. But for most of us, time isn't an ally.
In such cases, you'll have to force the issue.
