I once heard someone say,

"If you have no expectations, you can't be disappointed."

Why the fuck would you not want to have expectations?! Why would you get out of bed in the morning if you had no expectations? Expectations are your hopes, your dreams, and your goals. You expect success. You expect prosperity. You expect happiness.

Is there a possibility for disappointment? Absolutely. Is there possibility for failure? Absolutely. But you tell me, what value does a goal have if there are no possible failures? The possibility of failure is what separates the winners from the losers: the losers will never attempt something they think will fail. Your goal is worthwhile because you went after it, despite failures and the possibility for failure.


Expectations are all you have to live for. If you don't want to have expectations, you might as will be dead.
