I was listening to a business leader speak and had to steal this concept and share it with you. Actually, I wasn't listening to the guy -- someone else was, and started to turn it off when I came in the room. I told her to let it play so I could hear what they guy had to say.
He was talking about having a sense of urgency, doing things now and not putting them off until later or someday. He said that many people live on "Someday Isle": someday I'll do this, someday I'll do that.
I'd never heard that one before. And I loved it.
All your serious goals in life need a deadline for when you want them done. This puts pressure on you to get them done (two things humans need -- 1. a challenge and 2. something to do) and a way to measure how close or far you are in relation to those goals. Someday goals don't get reached. Someday plans don't happen.
What are you waiting for? Don't get stranded on the isle.
