So many people know a whole lot about what other people can do and what other people have. How someone else got opportunities that were not afforded to anyone else. The luxuries that made it easy for another person that you were not lucky enough to have. How your size or your race or the people you (don't) know all play a role in holding you back. 

What you need to start focusing on -- actually, let's start by getting you out of the hole: You need to stop focusing on what other people are doing. What someone else has, who she knows, how his dad is friends with the coach... None of that is a factor to you, and every excuse that crosses your mind weakens you every time you repeat it. 

What you do need to do is focus on what's available --- to YOU. What are your strengths? What are your areas for improvement? What do you need to do to reach your full potential?
