Book Review: The 10X Rule by Grant Cardone

“Almost every problem people face in their chreers and other aspects of their lives—such as failed diets, marriages, and financial problems—are all the result of not taking enough action. So before you say to yourself for the millionth time, “I would be happy if I just had . . .” or “I don't want to be rich—just comfortable” or “I just want enough to be happy,” you must understand one vital point: Limiting the amount of success you desire is a violation of the 10X Rule in and of itself. When people start limiting the amount of success they desire, I assure you they will limit what will be required of them in order to achieve success and will fail miserably at doing what it takes to keep it.”
The books that I like the most and recommend the most to others got that status for a specific reason: Those books speak to me. Meaning, the information, ideas and principles within these books touch on things that were already in me before I even picked them up. The ones that do this the most and the deepest become my favorites.
With that being said, I must make an announcement: there has been a shift in my Top 5 list of books.
Grant Cardone has come to prominence through some TV work, tons of social media self-exposure and his hands-on approach to helping and coercing his followers to go bigger, faster. The 10X Rule is Grant's magnum opus, a book that pretty much encompasses how I see the man. And I'm a fan.

The 10X Rule is all about multiplying -- you thoughts, goals and most importantly your actions. Grant is a huge advocate of taking massive action and taking it NOW.

Much of The 10X Rule's talk on action reminds me of Tony Ribbons' programs -- and this is a great thing. One reason why is that there are people who may not find Tony compelling but can easily digest Grant Cardone. So if both authors can share a similar message and reach everyone via their own channels, even better. The point is to help people, not claim domain over ideas. Good thing for me is I like both of them.

The 10X Rule is a self-help motivational sales guide and ass-kicker all wrapped in one -- kind of like Grant Cardone himself. The best-written books are the ones that remind me perfectly of the author (or as much as I know about that person). That's a reason for me to credit the author. The reason this book goes into my Top 5 is because is spoke to parts of me that needed to be awakened.

Mission accomplished.
