Book Review: Risky Is The New Safe by Randy Gage

"Most companies are desperately chasing after the elephant, shooting arrows in its butt. What they really need to do is get in front of the elephant and dig a big hole."
Randy Gage wrote a book that would, in 2016, be considered either damn-right or contrarian thinking, depending on who you are. Risky covers the areas where Gage sees the world going, and with solid proof, he gives his estimations of how people can prepare for it to take best advantage.
I agree with Gage's POVs, many of which have become mainstream understandings by now (Risky was published in 2013), at least amongst the entrepreneurs I know, read and listen to. I think this book is most needed, though, by those who aren't entrepreneurs, who have chosen the "safe" route in life.
The best thing about Risky is Randy Gage wastes no space: he says what he needs to say in a short book and ends it there with no fluff. He was even nice enough to include a recommended reading list at the end for his readers.
Bottom line: if you're not yet an entrepreneur and want to be one, Risky is a good, simple place to begin that won't overload the I-don't-like-reading types. Start here.
