Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words. Words are a dime a dozen. Believe none of what you hear. Easier said than done.
Talking about what we want is easy to do. Requires little effort or imagination, and even gives us a bit of satisfaction in the process. We usually talk about what we're thinking or what we desire to have or do.
But wants are fickle. We change our minds about what we want. We want more than we possess the means to acquire.
And if everyone got everything they wanted, we might run out of stuff! Not really, but still... you get the point. Words.
Actions are much harder than talking. We can only physically commit to one action at a time with full attention, and can't be in two places at once. Many of our wants die right there as wants, because we either claim to not know what action to take to make the want a reality, or don't want to take the actions for whatever reason.
What you want sounds good, can grab your interest for some time, and maybe even excite you. Your actions show what you actually believe. You can talk about things that you don't even believe - ever had someone do that to you? You can do things that you don't really believe in, but that's much harder to do for a sustained period of time.
When you want to know someone's real truth, what they really believe, watch their actions. It might not be their whole truth, but it damn sure beats words.
