I told everyone I knew that I’d be playing pro basketball overseas before I even had an agent or a single team interested in me. Though it sounded good, I doubt any people actually believed me. Some made jokes. Some just politely listened. Some were completely indifferent. Some people were happy to see me going after it and hoping that I did do it.

But, to the actual outcome of me making it, none of them mattered. None of their thoughts or opinions, positive or negative mattered. The only thing that mattered as what I thought, and what I did with those thoughts.
