I wrote in my first book Buy A Game about how some college teammates and I had formed a formidable rev league/neighborhood tournament team for 3-On-3 or 5-On-5 play. We won a lot of events.

But we lost a couple. Literally, a couple. And I remember those much more than any of the wins.

One reason I remember is because we should have won those damn games (both in the event Finals). Another is that we learned — or at least I learned — some important lessons about choosing personnel and never taking an opponent lightly.



Today’s show is about the lessons we learn in losing. Though we don’t plan to learn this way, it’s the best education one can get.
