“See, the more you talk, the more stupid you sound."

That was Marv, our neighborhood rec league Coach, angling to get his point across to a player who wasn’t keen on listening to Marv’s pointed post-game criticisms. I don’t remember the topic of that conversation, but the statement applies really well all these years later.

Sometimes it’s best to not make your point, or win the argument or draw attention or be the loudest in the room. Sometimes.

Today’s goal is to make sure you know when those times are.
