My sister gave me a very thoughtful gift when I graduated from college. A gift she figured I would need for my future endeavors.
It was a $350 gift card to The Men’s Warehouse. Ironically, I only wore the suit I got from there one time, which was to my sister’s wedding a year later.
My sisters heart and mind were in the right place. Being the scholar and now college professor that she is, she figured I’d be going on a lot of job interviews — thus the need for be suit. Maybe I’d need one for work every day too, depending what job I ended up with.
I had other plans though. And my plans for me mattered 10,000x more than anyone else plans — or gifts — for me.
Today, we’re talking about how this mindset applies to you.
