Several times per week, basketball players reach out to me asking how they can find an agent. Some send me resumes, incorrectly assuming that I myself am an agent. Some ask me directly to connect them with an agent.

The key is remembering that agents and managers are people who need to eat. Talk and promises don’t taste good, even with ketchup.
