Basketball players tell me how they know they’re better than someone who has the spot the player claims he or she wants.
“I know I have Game. I know for a fact that I’m better than them. I practice more than them. Everyone said that I should’ve made the team.”
Knowing and doing ain’t the same thing. The Rewards and attention and roster spots and contracts and adulation go to those who prove it, not those who know it.
The only reason to practice is to be ready for the game. Not for the sake of practice itself.
