When I wanted to learn how to bike my business after basketball, I had no real information on how to do it. But I’d have been damned if I was gonna just sit there and do nothing, or throw my hands up and claim that I had “no clue” and hope someone helped me.

I got active.

One offhand remark lead to a suggestion which lead to initiative and to a presentation and a chance meeting with the right person… long story short (the long version will be in my next book), I created the opportunity that may appear to be luck on the surface.

When you’re real, you know it’s not luck.
