Quote above is one of the reasons why: not because of whatever they were apologizing for, but because the stuff we say out loud, we’ve been saying to ourselves long before the words make their way to our lips.
What kind of results can a person, even one who is really talented, expect when this is how you talk to yourself? Would you feel open and free to be your best if your most common companion (yourself) talked to you like this?
