I used to work in the mall, at a store called Hat World.
The job was relatively easy, as the store was so small, and we didn’t sell anything but hats. The Work process at Hat World was the easier of any job I’ve ever had, mainly due to it’s simplicity.
But I needed more money.
I was a college freshman, and my car needs repairs. Hat World’s biweekly paycheck was gonna get the repairs covered. Here was when I realized I needed money that wasn’t from a fixed income — money that I could control how much of it I made — to have more power financially.
So I made a few phone calls (one call, actually), went to my boss at Hat World and quit on the spot. I saw the money opportunity I needed, and didn’t need this job anymore.
The next day, I drove to a meeting for CutCo Knives.
That didn’t go well. Even though I’d made a list of 700
People I knew.
So here I was, broke, jobless, with a beat-up car that needed some TLC. WTF was I gonna do now?!?!?
You’ve been there before. Today’s show is about how you handle it.
