I saw a lot of ball players fall by the wayside.
In the few-years period after college but before I was a fully-established adult, life pressures weighed in men more than anything dealing with basketball. While I was trying hard to start and maintain a career, I was also getting older by the day, and closer to the point where living at home with my parents became less and less acceptable.
Many college grads deal with this, and most solve it in the most logical way: Get a job/career, maybe even something you don’t particularly enjoy, that affords you the ability to set out and live on your own.
It’s a noble idea, but I couldn’t accept it. I could see the DEAD END signs at the end of that road. I wouldn’t let that be me.
Stress, fear and anxiety kill more success and ideas than any other ailment known to man. Today’s show is about holding these diseases off — maybe even killing them — while I pursuit of your objectives.
