Victims become victims because they’re always playing defense. When you’re playing defense you’re trying to stop the opposition from scoring — and since none of us is perfect, defenses will always get scored on now and then.
In basketball, the team that just got scored on always gets the ball and their own shot at scoring. In life, though, you don’t just get the ball just because. You can remain on defense the whole time – in street basketball, we call this “make it, take it.”
