My dad coaches baseball since I was 9 years old.

I’m 35 now, and he’s still coaching. So I guess he wasn’t doing it out of affection for me.

When we were on defense, dad would always yell at us to be ready and look like we were ready. I bet he still says that to this day with the kids he coaches. I have to go to a game to find out.
