#408: Sense Of Urgency: How To Develop This Key Success Tool

50 Cent was dealing drugs and realized he could not do that for the rest of his life. There are only two ways out of the drug game: jail or death. He needed a better plan.

He started rapping, and eventually found some success: he was signed to a record label, and was set to release his first album.

Then he got shot nine times.

No one in the music business wanted to deal with him due to the violence surrounding him, and he had to watch out for the shooters who may come to finish the job — that was the norm where 50 was from.

But while laying in his bed recovering from his wounds, 50 got the vision that became G-Unit in everything he did in Brampton.

Once 50 recovered and began making music again, he had a whole new level of energy. He found himself staying up later, and waking up earlier than he ever had in his life – and he never felt tired. 50 felt as if this opportunity which he had created would be his one final shot at success ( no pun intended).

50 had been forced to develop a sense of urgency for his life and his work. He did indeed, get rich and not die trying.

So, what about you and I?

What if you’ve never been shot? What if you don’t come from an impoverished background? What if your life is never on the line, and you could be relatively safe and taken cared of even if you never make changes to your habits?

How can YOU develop that sense of urgency?

That’s what today’s show is about: developing a sense of urgency for the things you want in life – even when there is no real force pressing against you.

(HINT: this is a KEY factor in creating your success in life.)
