Back in my hoop days, I spent way more time practicing than playing, and while my drills were full of fancy moves, my game play was simple and repeatable and that’s what worked. Some people said I was “predictable,” like that was a bad thing, but they were missing the point. Predictability, when it’s backed by skill and consistency, is a strength, not a weakness.
