#3278: Everyone Deserves A "Platform"

In this episode, I’m talking about why I believe everyone deserves a platform. I’ve seen people get mad—not just at what someone says, but at the fact that they even got the chance to say it. That makes no sense to me. I used the Joe Rogan podcast as an example, because he brings on people with different views, and folks lose their minds over it. I don’t care if I agree or not—people should be allowed to speak. Let’s talk about why that matters.

Show Notes:
[06:04] #1 Free speech and open discourse, United States of America.
[14:18] #2 Avoiding a guest or avoiding a topic is a form of censorship.
[18:28] #3 There is no such thing as "platforming" a person. The term itself is oxymoronic.
[22:12] #4 Audience backlash.
