Willie used to dunk all over us on that driveway basketball court. I could never figure out how. Yes, he was bigger than us and definitely more fearless. It didn’t seem like he jumped that high, though. How the bell was he doing it?

One day he told me, in one sentence, what it was. I don’t think he thought anything of it, but I’ve remembered that one sentence for 20+ years.
