In today’s masterclass, I'm talking about the term "casuals," which I first heard in sports discussions on X, the social media platform I use for commentary. "Casuals" refers to people who aren't as dedicated or serious fans compared to hardcore followers. For example, a hardcore NFL fan might call someone who only watches the Super Bowl a casual, implying they shouldn't discuss the sport deeply.
Today, I'll explain why we should appreciate casuals, especially if you're in marketing or sales, because they still add value and engagement.
Show Notes:
[04:12] #1 The casuals represent the masses of people.
[11:01] #2 What does any of this have to do with marketing? -Everything.
[17:42] #3 If you are in marketing or sales, remember that casuals have green money just like the serious people have green money.
