
Confrontation is defined as a hostile or argumentative meeting or situation between opposing parties, and conflict is a serious disagreement or argument, typically a protracted one point. Develop the reputation as being a person who does not back down, and is not willing to compromise. When you want something, you want it, and you are willing to get involved in conflict in order to get it.
As I get into my points, you'll understand how that actually works, that when you stop avoiding confrontation and conflict, then you usually end up having to deal with less of it.
